These Terms are written in plain English to explain how Explore Moor may be used. They should be reviewed before full commercial launch.

Welcome to Explore Moor. By accessing or using this website, reading our content, following our links, using our contact forms, interacting with our public spaces, or engaging with Explore Moor through connected platforms, you agree to use the project respectfully and lawfully.
Explore Moor is a Moor & More Studio project, created by Millie Carter. It sits alongside Narrow & Wide as part of the same wider ecosystem.

Use the site respectfully
Read, share links, comment, contact us, and follow the journey without harassing people, misusing content, or trying to disrupt the space.
The story has boundaries
Explore Moor is personal, but not everything is public. Do not demand private information or treat family, health, caring, identity, or home life as public property.
Our content remains ours
You may link to Explore Moor content, but you may not copy, scrape, republish, sell, or reuse our writing, images, videos, or branding without permission.
Third-party platforms have their own rules
Substack, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Patreon, payment providers, and other services have their own terms and privacy policies.
We may moderate
We may remove, hide, block, restrict, or report content or behaviour that breaks these Terms or our Community Values.
Using Explore Moor
1. What Explore Moor is
Explore Moor is a story, writing, video, and updates project about building a better future from rural Wales, alongside the practical Narrow & Wide platform.
This may include:
- writing
- videos
- notes
- newsletter/Substack
- research
- behind-the-scenes updates
- social media
- links to Narrow & Wide
2. Who may use the site
Explore Moor may be used by people who want to read, watch, follow, contact, subscribe, or learn more about the project.
People should use the site lawfully and people should not misuse the site.
Some third-party services may have age requirements or their own account rules.
3. Accounts
Explore Moor may not require a direct account to read the website, but third-party services such as Substack, YouTube, Patreon, or social platforms may require accounts under their own terms.
If Explore Moor accounts are added later, the terms may be updated.
Content and intellectual property
4. Ownership of Explore Moor content
Unless otherwise stated, the writing, images, videos, layout, branding, graphics, and original content on Explore Moor belong to us or are used with permission.
Users may:
- read content
- link to public pages
- quote short excerpts with credit where lawful and fair
- share links to posts/videos
Users may not:
- copy full articles
- republish content as their own
- scrape the site
- use images/videos without permission
- use Explore Moor branding to imply endorsement
- train or populate commercial datasets with the content without permission, where legally enforceable
- sell, package, or reuse content commercially without permission
5. Personal story and privacy boundaries
Explore Moor includes personal story and real-life material.
Sharing something publicly does not mean every detail is open for questioning or reuse.
Family members, carers, disabled people, animals, home life, health, identity, and private circumstances should be treated respectfully.
Do not identify, track, harass, contact, or target people connected to the story, and do not attempt to extract private details.
Personal story is not public ownership.
6. User contributions
If users comment, reply, message, email, submit feedback, or interact via connected platforms, they are responsible for what they send.
This may include:
- comments
- replies
- Substack notes/comments
- YouTube comments
- social media replies/messages
- contact form messages
- future support/membership comments
- suggestions or feedback
Users must not submit:
- abuse or harassment
- hate speech or threats
- private information about others
- spam or scams
- impersonation
- malicious links
- unlawful content
- misleading claims
- content they do not have the right to share
By submitting content to Explore Moor or connected spaces, you give us permission to read, moderate, respond to, and where appropriate display or refer to that contribution as part of operating the project.
Community behaviour and moderation
7. Community Values
Use of Explore Moor should follow our Community Values.
This means:
- kindness
- useful disagreement
- no harassment
- no transphobia
- no ableism
- no personal attacks
- no demanding private information
- no pile-ons or bad-faith behaviour
8. Moderation
We may remove, hide, restrict, block, report, or ignore content or users where needed.
This may apply on:
- the Explore Moor website
- Substack
- YouTube
- contact forms
- future support/community features
Other platforms have their own moderation systems too. We may use the tools available on those platforms.
9. Contact forms and messages
If you contact Explore Moor, you agree to provide accurate information and not misuse the contact form.
Users must not:
- send spam
- send threats
- impersonate others
- send malicious links
- abuse the form
- submit private information about others without permission
Contact form messages may be stored and processed so we can respond and manage enquiries.
Third-party platforms and embedded content
10. Substack / Explore Moor Journal
Explore Moor Journal is hosted on Substack. If you subscribe, comment, reply, or interact there, Substack’s own terms and privacy policy also apply.
- newsletter signup is handled by Substack
- subscription preferences and emails are managed through Substack
- Substack embeds may require embedded content consent on our site
- we are not responsible for Substack’s platform availability or policies
11. YouTube and video content
Explore Moor may link to or embed YouTube videos. YouTube has its own terms, privacy practices, comments system, recommendations, and tracking.
- embedded videos should be consent-gated where required
- comments on YouTube are subject to YouTube’s rules and our moderation choices where possible
12. Social media
Explore Moor may link to Facebook, Instagram, and other social platforms. Interactions on those platforms are also governed by their own rules.
- DMs/comments on social platforms are not private systems we control fully
- do not send sensitive information through public comments
- platform moderation and availability are outside our control
13. Future support, memberships, Patreon, sponsors, affiliate links
Explore Moor may later include support options, memberships, Patreon-style support, sponsorships, gifted products, affiliate links, or advertising.
- paid or sponsored relationships should be disclosed clearly where required
- support does not buy control over personal boundaries or editorial decisions
- affiliate links may earn money if used
- payment providers will have their own terms
- refund/payment terms may be shown separately where relevant
Support should help the work continue. It should not make the story feel bought.
Information, advice, and reliance
14. No professional advice
Explore Moor content is for story, reflection, research, learning, entertainment, and general information.
It is not:
- legal advice
- financial advice
- medical advice
- mental health advice
- boating survey advice
- safety advice
- engineering advice
- care advice
- professional buying advice
Before making decisions, please use your own judgement and seek appropriate professional advice where needed.
15. Accuracy and changes
We try to be accurate, but Explore Moor may include personal reflections, developing thoughts, incomplete research, older posts, changing plans, and content that may become outdated.

Availability, limits, and legal details

Explore Moor may change, pause, move, remove, or update parts of the site at any time.

- removed content
- changed features

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for losses arising from use of Explore Moor, reliance on content, third-party platforms, comments, links, downtime, or user-submitted material.
18. Ending or restricting access
We may restrict, block, remove, report, or ignore access/interactions if someone:
- breaks the Terms
- breaches Community Values
- harasses or abuses others
- misuses contact forms
- posts spam or scams
- threatens safety
- targets private people
- acts unlawfully or maliciously
19. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as Explore Moor grows. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised date.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
